CROWNS
When the structural integrity of a tooth has been compromised by old filling materials, cracks, root canal treatment and/or decay, a full coverage "crown" or "cap" may be the indicated treatment.
This restoration will restore the function, durability and cosmetics for the tooth in question and will last for years.
PORCELAIN VENEERS
One of the most significant breakthroughs in dentistry has been the discovery of new adhesion techniques which allow Dr. Handel to successfully adhere dissimilar materials to one another. Porcelain is one of those materials which has allowed the dentist to provide the most dramatic cosmetic enhancemets for their patients.
A porcelain veneer is a thin shell of porcelain that is bonded to the tooth in order to strengthen it, improve the color from permanent stains, repair fractured/traumatized teeth, close spaces and improve alignment and symmetry.
In comparison to a crown a porcelain veneer is very conservative and the resulting cosmetics, function and durability are superb.
