About Botox
What is BOTOX Cosmetic?
Botox is FDA approved and is a purified protein administered in a simple nonsurgical procedure that temporarily improves the appearance of moderate to severe frown line between the brows, forehead and "crows feet" in people aged 18 to 65.
You should not be treated with Botox Cosmetic if you have an infection at the proposed area of treatment. Patients with certain neurological disorders such as ALS, myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may be at increased risk of serious side effects.
Who performs the procedure?
Our doctor, Dr. Brian Handel, is certified in the treatment of Botox Cosmetic and Restylane and will administer the treatment.
Is the procedure safe?
Botox is completely safe. The most common side effects include headache, respiratory infection, flu syndromes, temporary eyelid droop, and nausea.
Will the treatment hurt?
Discomfort is minimal and brief. It is compared to the sensation of a bug bite and you can resume normal activity immediately! No anesthesia is required, although the doctor may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to treatment. The procedure takes about 10 minutes.
How long will it last?
Visible results can last 4-6 months. After that, you may be ready for a follow up treatment. You can expect to see results within days after your treatment. The appearance of the area between your brows may continue to improve for up to a week.

About Restylane & Radiesse
What is Restylane?
Restylane is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to sever facial wrinkles and folds. It is also used to enhance the size and shape of lips. Unlike rooster-derived hyaluronic acid-based products, Restylane is free from animal proteins. This quality limits any risk of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reaction.
What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is a next-generation wrinkle filler that restores facial volume to give natural and beautiful results that last. Radiesse is calcium based and once injected will stimulate the body to produce new collagen which replenishes lost facial volume to smooth out the signs of aging.
Who performs the procedure?
Our doctor, Dr. Brian Handel, is certified in the treatment of Botox Cosmetic, Restylane and Radiesse and will administer the treatment.
Will the injections hurt?
Restylane and Radiesse are injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts by an ultra fine needle, resulting in minimal discomfort. The procedure is simple and convenient and results are practically instantaneous. To optimize your comfort during your short procedure the doctor may minimize discomfort using ice, topical numbing gel, or local anesthetic.
Are Restylane and Radiesse safe?
Yes. Dermatologist and plastic surgeons have used Restylane since 1996 worldwide. There is a limited risk of animal based disease transmission or allergic reaction. Restylane is fully biocompatible and allergy testing is not required. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18, you shouldn’t use Restylane or Radiesse. Radiesse is a next-generation product that has been found to have a safety record similar to Restylane. Radiesse is FDA approved and has undergone rigorous testing in clinical studies to prove its safety.
What can I expect after treatment?
After your treatment, you might have some redness, bruising or swelling. This will normally last less than seven days. Sunbathing and cold outdoor activities should be avoided until redness or swelling disappear.
How long can I expect Restylane and Radiesse to last?
Restylane is proven to deliver long-lasting results. Studies have shown that Restylane effects generally last for about six months! Restylane’s stabilization technology helps maintain the cosmetic effect until the injected material is nearly gone. Radiesse has been shown to last up to one year or more in many patients.
